Groves hits out at Carragher
Jamie Carragher's England u-turn has been lambasted by former Arsenal winger Perry Groves.
The ex-Gunner feels Carragher's England career should have ended when he announced his international retirement three years ago.
"If someone says they don't want to play for their country any more then that is it," said Groves. "There are players who would give their right arm just to be called into an England squad. Jamie Carragher thought he was too good to fly around Europe and sit on the bench in the qualification period but could then come back when they got to the World Cup."
