He starred for Inter Miami’s reserves earlier this year, getting an assist in August for Beckham's MLS franchise.

And Romeo made his senior debut the month before in a 6-0 defeat to Barcelona alongside boss Phil Neville’s son Harvey.

Romeo is still technically under contract at Inter Miami.

But last week he jetted to England in order to train with Brentford’s second side.

The Bees are constantly welcoming talented young players to their B team for trials.

And the Mirror claims Romeo has impressed so much that he is set to make his bow on Saturday.

Brentford confirmed they will hold a behind-closed-friendly against League Two’s Crewe Alexandra.

And Romeo is now set for the chance to sparkle in English football.

He previously experienced life at a Premier League club with Arsenal.

But Romeo was let go in 2014 along with brothers Brooklyn, 23, and Cruz, 17.

He then stepped away from football before returning to the sport in 2020 with Inter Miami.

Speaking at the time of Romeo’s Arsenal exit, dad Beckham said: “The other day Romeo turned round to me and said he didn’t want to play football anymore.

“Part of me was devastated but part of me was relieved too. He’s got other passions and I like that.”
