ROMELU LUKAKU stood on a chair and sung for his Inter Milan team-mates as he continued to enjoy life back in Italy.

The 29-year-old Belgian returned to the Serie A giants on loan earlier this summer after a miserable year at Chelsea.

Just 12 months ago, Lukaku left Inter for the Premier League side in a deal worth £97.5million.

But now he is back at Inter where he flourished for two seasons between 2019 and 2021.

And he serenaded his new team-mates by climbing onto his chair and singing to them during a team dinner - a video which was posted on social media.

Both Lukaku and the rest of the squad seemed to be loving the initiation as the former Manchester United man's love affair with Italian football continues.

It comes after he admitted earlier this month that he should never have left Inter in the first place.

At Inter's kit launch, he said: "I left. It was a mistake.

"Now I am happy to be wearing this jersey, the team knows what we need to do, it'll be a great challenge this season and we need to continue like this.

"I realised last season when I was in England, just how important Inter are in the world.

"The club's profile is improving on an international scale, the social media approach is really important too and you can see how we act in the locker room, in training, our hugs and jokes.

"Milan is a wonderful city and that is why I kept the old apartment when I went to London, because my mother was coming here all the time and I wanted to return too."

During his first spell at Inter, Lukaku scored an impressive 64 goals in 95 appearances.

But his form dropped off when he returned to England as he found the back of the net just 15 times in 44 games for Chelsea.

Now he will be hoping he can help Inter regain the Serie A title which they won for the first time in 11 years in 2021.

AC Milan beat them to the scudetto last season, finishing two points clear of Simone Inzaghi's men.
