Freddie Every has always been keen to reunite with uncle David Beckham and his cousins
Freddie Every grew up playing football with his famous cousins at uncle David Beckham's mansion - but was frozen out years later and now yearns for a family reunion.
Freddie, now 20, revealed during his teens that he lost contact with his mother's side of the family after mum Lynne, David's older sister, split with dad Colin whom he moved with to Dagenham alongside older sister Georgina.
With his mum and younger brother Josh living in their £470,000 family home, Freddie said back in 2018 that he was desperate for a reunion with his extended family having formed happy memories with them growing up.
The Mirror quote him as saying in 2018: "I’m filled with mixed emotions. I just want to be able to go for a meal and talk and catch up. I’m not asking for more than that.
"Growing up we saw them loads and I have so many happy memories of playing at their house, doing Easter egg hunts and playing on quad bikes.
"Then suddenly it all stopped and I am on the outside looking in, only seeing them live their lives on Instagram or on the TV.
"We have so much in common still.
"I love football and am into fashion too – but I never get to share that with them.
"I watched a documentary David did for TV three times to see if he mentioned me at all. But he didn’t, and that was hard."
Freddie said that he and dad Colin had been living off government handouts of about £75 a week at the time, saying that his prized possession is a pair of £200 Yeezy trainers once sent to him by David, who us thought to have a net worth of £362million.
Freddie said in 2019 that he rarely saw his mother and younger brother, who are close to David and his wife Victoria as well as kids Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, who have since been joined by daughter Harper Seven.
The 20-year-old says that he last saw former Manchester United winger and England captain Beckham at a Chinese restaurant back in 2011, seeing his cousins for the most recent time a year later.
Freddie adds that he feels pride for his uncle despite their lack of contact, saying that he no longer tells people of their connection as they might not believe him.
Sister Georgina, who had been working as a hairdresser, said of David in 2018: "I’m lucky he’s famous and he’s all over the internet. Everywhere you look, he’s there, so I can see him.
"I don’t need to have a phone call to see what he’s up to. That is better than nothing."
