My WIG came off as I celebrated Arsenal scoring a goal – I need to use more glue

AN Arsenal fan's wig came off as he celebrated his team's goal - and has now vowed to use more glue.

Ashley Day reckons the wig got dislodged after one of the Gunners' goals during the celebrations, adding: "I need to stop being so tight with the glue."

The dad saw the funny side and shared a picture of himself at Vicarage Road Stadium before Arsenal's 2-3 away win against Watford yesterday.

Ashley, from Tower Hamlets, East London, captioned it: "Before I lost my hair."

He also revealed it is not the first time it has happened to him and said: "I think it's hilarious how I constantly embarrass myself without even realising it. I'm like a 21st century Mr Bean!"

And he even promised to "rip it all off and whisky it round in rapturous celebrations" if the Gunners finish in the top four.

He tweeted about his wig standing up on end.

George said after Martin Odegaard opened the scoring after just five minutes at Vicarage Road: “Arsenal go 1-0 up.

“And so did this geezers syrup."

Syrup and figs means wigs in cockney rhyming slang.

One fellow fan - called Tom - quipped: “Must be a warm day.

“He’s got his sunroof open.”

Another made reference to the 90s kids TV character and joked: “Mr Majeika.”

But good sport Ashley spotted the post and replied “That’s f*****g me.”

He then tweeted a snap of him at the ground, adding: “Before I lost my hair.”
