MAJA LINDELOF has described the traumatic events of her house being burgled at the end of last month.

Husband, Manchester United star Victor Lindelof, was away from the family home at the time with United playing at Brentford that night.

Thanks to some quick thinking Maja was able to protect herself and her kids, avoiding confrontation with the burglars.

She said in an interview with Elle: "I do not remember how, but I ran up and got all three of us into a room.

"Physically, I do not know how I managed to lift a heavy sleeping Ted Louie while I carried a fragile Francis in my arms but it worked.

"I got both the children and myself into a room, I locked the door and held up the handle.

"I remember the feeling of being hunted."

Maja first revealed the news of the break-in on Instagram, describing it as a "very traumatic and scary moment for both me and my little kids."

Lindelof was subsequently left out of the United squad to face West Ham while his family spent time in Sweden with loved ones.

After the incident United boss Ralf Rangnick said: "I spoke with him at length on our flight back home from London and also this morning.

"We spoke for 20 or 25 minutes, he told me what actually happened, that this was a traumatic event, especially for his wife and three-year-old son.

"He said to me that right now he needs to stay at home, he doesn't want to leave his wife and family on their own, which I can fully understand, being a father of two children myself.

"We agreed he will not be on duty for the game."

Some Premier League stars are now hiring former SAS soldiers to protect their homes while they are at away games, with Manchester City star Joao Cancelo also having his home ransacked recently.
