Coleen Rooney has opened up about forgiving her husband Wayne Rooney for the unacceptable behaviour from his past that almost ended their relationship in a new documentary
Coleen Rooney has admitted that while she acknowledges her husband Wayne Rooney's past behaviour is "not acceptable", she has "moved on."
Speaking on their new Amazon Prime documentary, Rooney, the mum-of-four confirmed that she has forgiven Wayne, 36, for his past misdemeanours.
Sitting down alongside him, Coleen, 35, discussed the difficulties they have faced as a couple thanks to Wayne's troubled past.
The pair then confessed to feeling lucky that they have managed to work through their tough times and stay together instead of going their separate ways despite the external pressures on them.
Coleen said: "I think we’re lucky that we’ve both had the strength and support of each other and around us to keep going and trying, that’s something that we have had to work at."

Asked if she has forgiven Wayne, Coleen then replied: "I wouldn’t be standing here if I hadn’t forgiven him."
Wayne then revealed how he felt about having to open up to his wife about things that have happened - including his cheating scandal - vowing to change his ways after the tough times they have faced.
He said: "When these things have happened, we’ve sat down and I’ve explained what’s happened. It’s not nice, it’s not a nice thing to have to do.

"It won’t happen again. I don’t want it to happen again. And for us to get through it, it’s tough. Tough days, tough weeks, tough months. But we’ve been through hard times and it does make you stronger as well."
Coleen then confirmed that while she hasn't accepted the choices her childhood sweetheart has made, and doesn't find the behaviour acceptable, she has made the decision to forgive him so they can move on with their lives together.

She continued: "Life goes on. I’ve not accepted… I’ve moved on. You’ve moved on. The behaviour, it’s not acceptable. Forgiveness is different.
"It’s not acceptable what he’s done, but it’s happened and that was in the stage of life we were in at the time but we’ve moved on. I forgive him, but it wasn’t acceptable. But no, if it comes up we talk about it, I haven’t got the anger that I did at the time."
