Chelsea went aggressive with Hakimi to move at the front of the race. Tuchel really wants him.
Not done yet, but significant moves made in last few hours/days.
However, the Pensioners appear to have been gazumped by PSG, who seem set to complete the signing in the coming days.
His career to date
Achraf Hakimi spent two seasons on loan in Germany with Borussia Dortmund, where he impressed in a back-five, forming a solid partnership with Jadon Sancho.
Despite a stellar 2019/20 campaign, which saw him score nine and assist 10, however, Real Madrid were not willing to give Hakimi a chance to impress in their side once he returned from loan.
Instead, Los Blancos shipped the Moroccan off to Inter Milan for a fee reported to be around £40m.
Inter, like Dortmund in 2019/20, largely operated with a back-five system this past season.
This allowed Hakimi to again excel in his favoured right-wing-back role.
All told, the 22-year-old scored seven and assisted ten in 37 league outings, as Inter secured their first Serie A title in 10 years.
