Mesut Ozil shares first snap of daughter Eda born less than year after Arsenal star's horror knife attack

MESUT OZIL has shared a first snap of his new baby daughter Eda on social media.

The Arsenal star, 31, and his wife - former Miss Turkey Amine Gulse - looked love up as they posed with the infant, who was born last month.

Ozil and Gulse got married in Istanbul last June.

But they were both caught up in a horrific knife attack the following month while sat in their car in London.

Armed robbers targeted Ozil, Gulse and Arsenal team-mate Sead Kolasinac.

But the left-back managed to fight them off before Ozil drove them all to a nearby restaurant where they called police.

Gulse was three months pregnant at the time of the terrifying incident.

But both she and Ozil were all smiles as they shared their first snap of baby daughter Eda with the world.

The heartwarming picture comes at a time when Ozil's Arsenal future is in doubt.

But his agent insists he will remain at the Emirates for the final year of his contract.

Erkut Sogut told Goal: "You never know in football. First of all, you can never predict the movement of players.

"I have said it before and I am saying it again that he is really happy where he is at Arsenal.

"He still has a contract to go and there is no change.

"We will see what the future holds when the contract ends but for now, there is nothing I can say."
