Manchester United will need to launch a monumental offer to sign Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.

The Red Devils have been tentatively linked with the Portuguese star in the past after his fine performances at Molineux.

United fans even thought they spotted Neves leaving Carrington on Friday, sparking wild speculation that a transfer was in the offing.

But Goal report the Wolves man is not keen on a move to Old Trafford.

The publication report a 'blockbuster' offer would need to be launched for his services.

United are in the market for a midfielder this month, with an injury-hit squad and the threat of Paul Pogba leaving in the coming weeks.

Bruno Fernandes is high on the transfer list after a move failed to materialise in the summer.

The Sporting Lisbon star was on the scoresheet twice on Saturday evening and is valued at £65m.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was asked yesterday about potentially bringing in Fernandes this month.

But the United boss was tight-lipped on the playmaker after his side's 4-0 win over Norwich.

"Bruno Fernandes? I can’t talk about individuals that play for other clubs, but I’ve got to say I do have the backing,” he told beIN Sports after the victory.

“We do have the backing to do something if the right thing comes up in this window.

“The owners and Ed, they know what we’re building towards.”

Earlier in the week, Solskjaer admitted he was in talks with Woodward over potential deals this month.

"We are building towards something and I'm almost getting bored myself talking about this, and the fans will definitely be bored listening to me talk about what we do have as a vision and a plan," he said.

"I have those conversations with Ed all the time and we are looking at how we are going to look in one month's time, five months' time, in the longer period.

"He knows my feelings and we know our feelings. I am very happy with these players."
