Marseille and Aston Villa set to battle for Sturridge
Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has got off to a good start in Turkey with Trabzonspor, and has drawn attention from clubs closer to home as a result, says the Daily Mail.
Aston Villa looked seriously at the ex-England international this summer, but selected other targets instead, but a player they did sign, Wesley, is now injured.
Marseille are looking to consolidate their second place in the Ligue 1 table and are monitoring Sturridge, who has four goals in six starts for his new club.
Dunne rekoins Burnley
Burnley have recalled defender Jimmy Dunne from his loan spell at Fleetwood Town.
Gabigol's wage demands too high for Flamengo
Gabriel Barbosa, known as Gabigol, is on the verge of a move away from Inter, but may have priced himself out of a move to Flamengo.
Sempre Inter suggest a deal is close to being finalised between the two clubs, with a fee of €16 million (ï¿¡14m/$18m) agreed.
However the 23-year-old, who has bagged 43 goals for the Brazilan team on loan, will have to agree to a drop in salary if the seal is to come off.
Napoli and Ajax circle Vertonghen
Jan Vertonghen's Tottenham contract will wind down in the summer and the 32-tear-old Belgium international may be headed out of London in January.
The Telegraph reports that both Ajax and Napoli may try and tempt Spurs to cash in on the centre-back rather than lose him for free.
The report suggests that Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho is more likely to look to add to his defensive options than sell this winter, but the Serie A side are despearate for reinforcements this January.
Arsenal will recall Nketiah from Leeds
Manger Marco Bielsa has confirmed that Arsenal will recall striker Eddie Nketiah from his loan spell with Leeds United.
The 20-year-old has only made 16 appearances this season, mainly from the bench, scoring three times.
He had started the last two matches, but the Gunners will still bring him back to north London, something Bielsa said was a "pity'.
Inter make contact with Eriksen's agent
The Serie A club is prepared to wait for the summer with Spurs hoping to cash in now
Gianluca di Marzio says that Inter have made initial contact with the agents of Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen.
The Denmark international is out of contract in London at the end of the season, and is not expected to sign new terms.
The article suggests that the Italian side would prefer to get the player for free in the summer, while Tottenham would like to cash in on him, seeking around ï¿¡17 million ($23m).
