Barrow moved a point clear at the top of the Vanarama National League after drawing 2-2 at mid-table Hartlepool as nearest rivals Yeovil lost to Sutton.
The Bluebirds had gone into the game ahead in the table on goal difference but could not make the most of Yeovil’s defeat as Hartlepool twice came from behind to earn a draw.
Barrow took the lead in the first minute of the second half as midfielder Lewis Hardcastle drove forward before shooting home.
But Hartlepool were back on level terms with 55 minutes gone when midfielder Gavan Holohan fired into the bottom corner from 30 yards.
Dior Angus (68) restored Barrow’s lead but Ryan Donaldson finished from Holohan’s cross with 14 minutes left to earn his side a point.
