Burton came from behind to secure a much-needed home win with a 3-1 victory over Rochdale at the Pirelli Stadium.
For the second home game in a row, Albion found themselves a goal down inside two minutes after Callum Camps fired beyond Kieran O’Hara.
Rekeil Pyke won an aerial challenge with Richard Nartey to send goalkeeper Robert Sanchez’s clearance into the path of the Dale captain who lashed confidently.
The Brewers, who have struggled for home goals so far this season in the league, hit back after 11 minutes with Ryan Edwards firing home after Colin Daniel’s cross fell nicely for him.
And Albion turned the game completely around in the 18th minute when Daniel was felled by Eoghan O’Connell, allowing Lucas Akins to smash the penalty high into the roof of the net.
Rochdale rallied after half time and twice hit the woodwork, Matty Done clipping the top of the crossbar and Jimmy Keohane striking the base of a post with a low drive, before Liam Boyce sealed Burton’s win with a low finish into the bottom corner eight minutes from time.
