O’Ware on target to earn Partick victory over relegation rivals Morton

Thomas O’Ware scored his first goal in over a year against his former club as Partick Thistle won 2-1 at Ladbrokes Championship relegation rivals Morton.
Defender O’Ware struck a second-half winner to ensure Partick leapfrogged Morton out of the bottom two with a third win in their last four league matches.
Alex Jones converted Osman Kakay’s ball in across the face of goal to give Partick an early lead, but Morton equalised through Kyle Jacobs’ 30th-minute penalty after Reece Cole’s challenge on Reece Lyon.
Partick struck a post shortly before the breakthrough with Kakay’s shot from outside the penalty area but regained the lead just after the hour mark when O’Ware fired home from inside the box following Cole’s cross.
