Burton will be without midfielder Stephen Quinn through suspension for the Sky Bet League One match against Rochdale.
The veteran Irishman collected a fifth caution in last weekend’s defeat at Wycombe, so must serve a one-match ban.
Midfielder Ryan Edwards is available again following his suspension, while Nathan Broadhead (hamstring) continues to be assessed.
John-Joe O’Toole, though, remains unavailable as he serves a six-match suspension following a red card against Southend, which also saw him verbally abuse the referee.
Rochdale head to the Pirelli Stadium following their FA Cup replay win over Boston, which set up a third-round date against Premier League Newcastle.
Veteran forward Aaron Wilbraham was back in the starting XI after a return to fitness, so should be involved again.
Midfielder Stephen Dooley, who had been out with an ankle problem, will be monitored after he came on during the second half.
Defender Paul McShane continues his rehabilitation, along with Ollie Rathbone, Ryan McLaughlin, Tyler Magloire and Jim McNulty.
