Manchester United have reportedly looked to PSG as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer aims to improve his midfield options.
Manchester United have reportedly made a surprise offer for PSG star Leandro Paredes as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seeks to improve his midfield options. The club are short in that department following the recent exits of Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini.
Manchester United have lost Herrera and Fellaini over the past 12 months, with the players choosing to jump ship to Ligue 1 and Chinese Super League giants PSG and Shandong Luneng Taishan.
Solskjaer has had to cope with what he’s got, with Fred and Scott McTominay getting plenty of minutes in the absence of Paul Pogba, who has been sidelined through injury.
Express Sport understands United have registered their midfield as a worry as they plan for the future.
And El Intransigente claim that United have made an offer for Paredes as they seek to bolster their ranks.
It’s claimed United see the transfer as a matter of urgency.

And that’s why they’re trying to secure the signature of Paredes, who has managed to make just four Ligue 1 starts for PSG this season.
Paredes was signed by PSG back in the January earlier this year and immediately made an impact for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
But with the player out in the cold over in France, it appears United are now ready to come to his rescue.
United are not the only club to be keen on striking a transfer agreement, however.
Serie A duo AC Milan and Napoli are also interested in signing the 25-year-old amid their own difficult starts to the current season.

Meanwhile, Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni recently admitted that he wanted Paredes to secure more game time over at PSG.
"It's a player that we appreciate, it's obvious, the situation is complicated because he does not play in a club, and we would like there to be more continuity at this level,” he said.
"Leandro is a player who has some progress.
"Especially when his team does not have the ball, because when he has it, he's one of the best in the world, we trust him.
"I told him something to control himself a little, to know when to be hard and when to play.”
Speaking last month, United manager Solskjaer admitted there was little prospect of him being able to acquire his main targets in the New Year.
"It is not about ‘x’ amount of money [we have to spend], it is about who do we think will be good for the club in the long-term, not just three or four months,” the Norwegian said.
Asked if those players will be available in January, Solskjaer added: “Probably not because that is the thing - it is in January.
"Not many clubs want to sell players that they would otherwise want to keep in January.
"Maybe one or two could be a loan deal but that is not a big money thing, it is just to help the team.
"But we are getting players back and we are looking at what can be available for us.”
United are next in action against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday night (5.30pm).
