Dover deny Yeovil top spot as Scott Doe scores only goal

Yeovil missed the chance to go top of the National League following a 1-0 home defeat to Dover.
Steven Rigg hit the crossbar with a header for the visitors, but centre-back Tom Bradbury should have put Yeovil ahead when he glanced a free header wide from five yards.
Dover took a deserved lead in the 62nd minute when defender Scott Doe was left unmarked from a long free-kick, expertly bringing the ball down before finding the back of the net.
Inih Effiong should have doubled Dover’s lead minutes later when he burst clear but was denied by the foot of goalkeeper Stuart Nelson.
Myles Hippolyte almost levelled for Yeovil with a fine 20-yard effort but Yusuf Mersin tipped over, while Roberto Ratti headed against the woodwork at the other end late on.
