Airdrieonians beat Stranraer to top Scottish League One

Airdrieonians moved top of Scottish League One with a 2-0 win at Stranraer.
The Diamonds are two points clear of Raith Rovers, having played a game more, after goals from Calum Gallagher and Dale Carrick at Stair Park.
Gallagher score his 10th goal of the season nine minutes into the second half before Carrick wrapped up victory in injury time.
Defeat left Stranraer bottom on goal difference behind Forfar
Falkirk lost ground in the title race after being held to a 1-1 draw at Dumbarton.
They are three points behind the new leaders despite Declan McManus’ stoppage-time penalty rescuing a point.
The visitors fell behind when Isaac Layne converted Joe McKee’s cross from close range after 29 minutes.
But Ryan McGeever’s handball allowed McManus to level at the end.
Elsewhere, Montrose and Peterhead drew 0-0 in the day’s only other game.
