Fax force draw at Woking

Halifax clung on to a goalless draw at Woking despite playing the last half an hour with 10 men.
Woking had the better of the first-half chances. Dave Tarpey came close to giving his side the opener after 22 minutes, but his driven effort was just wide.
And the hosts threatened on the counter-attack on 33 minutes but forward Jamar Loza’s control let him down when one-on-one with Halifax goalkeeper Sam Johnson.
Halifax were reduced to 10 men just after the hour mark as Nathan Clarke was dismissed for a bad foul on Shaun Donnellan.
That gave Woking the initiative once again, as Tarpey fired over from the resulting free-kick before Ben Gerring forced a smart save from Johnson.
Johnson was on hand again as Loza broke through and Josh Staunton denied Kane Ferdinand with a superb last-ditch block as Halifax’s defence held firm.
