Rhys Murphy may not make it for Yeovil

Yeovil have a doubt over striker Rhys Murphy ahead of Saturday’s all-National League FA Cup first-round clash with Hartlepool.

Murphy, who has nine goals to his name so far this season, has been struggling with a knock this week, but manager Darren Sarll is hoping he will make it.

One of those goals was a late consolation strike in a 2-1 league defeat at Victoria Park on October 5 and the Glovers will hope to gain revenge on their own pitch.

They currently sit in second place in the league table, a point behind leaders Bromley with a game in hand and eight clear of the north-east club in 13th.

Caretaker Hartlepool boss Antony Sweeney will remain in charge with former AFC Fylde manager Dave Challinor due to be formally unveiled next week.

Sweeney, with the help of Ian McGuckin, has guided the club to three wins, a draw and Tuesday night’s 1-0 defeat by Solihull since stepping up following Craig Hignett’s departure, and will be in the dug-out once again this weekend.

He has only two injury problems of note with midfielder Luke Molyneux and striker Gime Toure missing.

Molyneux is working his way back from ankle surgery, while Toure is recovering from an operation on his hand and has only just had the cast removed.
