Scunthorpe will be without midfielder Clayton Lewis as they host Stevenage at Glanford Park on Saturday.
Lewis has parted ways with the Iron by mutual consent, returning to his native New Zealand in a bid for 2020 Olympic selection.
Manager Paul Hurst could favour Sheffield United loanee Jake Eastwood over regular goalkeeper Rory Watson, whose error allowed Salford to claim an equaliser as the sides drew 1-1.
Midfielder Jordan Hallam is unavailable after sustaining an injury during an under-23s game against Walsall.
Stevenage moved out of bottom place in League Two after defeating Morecombe 1-0 last time out.
Manager Mark Sampson reinstated midfielder Dean Parrett to the starting XI and may retain him.
Terence Vancooten was named in the squad for the first time since returning from injury and could feature.
Goalscorer Scott Cuthbert can also expect to play some part at Glanford Park.
