Solihull Moors brought Hartlepool’s four-game unbeaten run to an end with a 1-0 win at Victoria Park.
The Moors’ Paul McCallum had the best chance of the first half, but saw his effort clip the top of the crossbar.
Jake Beesley then almost broke the deadlock after the interval when he linked up with Kyle Storer but his shot came back off the near post.
Beesley finally found the net in the 59th minute when he got in front of his marker to head home a cross that went in off the post.
Luke Williams came closest to drawing Pools level but his shot from distance flew narrowly wide of Ryan Boot’s post.
