Chris Smalling stay
Roma are looking to complete the signing of Chris Smalling.
Smalling arrived at Roma on a season-long loan but after just six appearances - the Italian club have seen enough to make the deal permanent.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim Roma do not have a purchase option for the 29-year-old centre-back.
But are ready to start negotiations with Manchester United, who would sell for between £13-17million.
Ferran Torres wanted
Liverpool have reportedly entered the race to sign Ferran Torres, with both Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona chasing his signature.
Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firming and Sadio Mane are all-but immovable from the starting line-up, but it seems Liverpool are considering bringing in at least one reinforcement up top.
According to SportBild, Liverpool are monitoring Torres who has impressed since breaking through at Valencia.
However, the report adds both Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona are also interested in the teenager’s signature.
And Valencia would d reportedly be interested in listening to offers in the region of £17million.
Jadon Sancho competition
Manchester United will face stern competition to complete the signing of Jason Sancho.
Reports claim Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will use their considerable resources to challenge for the Borussia Dortmund star next summer.
It’s said a fee in the region of £100million would be enough to see the Bundesliga outfit part company with Sancho, 19.
However, German publication Bid claim Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea are also showing an interest in the England international.
Moussa Dembele latest
Manchester United are confident of signing £45million-rated Lyon striker Moussa Dembele.
The Red Devils are on the look-out for a striker to bolster their forward line after the departure of Romelu Lukaku.
And they’ve identified former Arsenal and Liverpool target Dembele as their January signing.
Soccerlink claim the Red Devils are confident about wrapping up his signature because Lyon are already lining up Chelsea outcast Olivier Giroud to replace him.
Timo Werner to Liverpool
Liverpool could sign Timo Werner in January before loaning the striker back to RB Leipzig for the remainder of the season, transfer expert Ian McGarry claims.
Express Sport revealed earlier this month that Liverpool and Manchester United are eyeing the Germany international, 23.
“Interestingly, one of the things we’ve also been told with regards to a potential deal,” Ian McGarry told Reach Plc’s Transfer Window podcast.
“Werner was extremely disappointed that his move to Bayern Munich effectively broke down disappeared into the ether and he’s been quite unhappy since.
“Well, Liverpool are trying to make that a bit better for both the player and his club. It has been suggested that Liverpool would buy the player in the January window and then he would be loaned back for the remainder of the Bundesliga season.”
Unai Emery successor
Arsenal hero Kevin Campbell believes Massimiliano Allegri, Luis Enrique, Mikel Arteta and Patrick Vieira could replace Unai Emery at the Emirates.
Emery has found himself under pressure in recent times, with the Gunners taking just a point from their last two Premier League matches against Crystal Palace and Sheffield United.
And Campbell has demanded the 47-year-old leave the club - and believes four managers would improve his former team.
“The board should be getting him out and getting in someone like an Allegri or someone of that ilk,” he told AFTV. “Luis Enrique, I like Luis Enrique – people even mentioned Arteta. What about Patrick Vieira?”
Wanted: Lautaro Martinez
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is considering an approach for Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez.
Martinez, 22, has started the season in fine style - netting seven goals and providing two assists in 13 appearances for Antonio Conte’s side.
And his exploits both domestically and for Argentina haven’t gone unnoticed.
According to Clarin, Manchester United have joined Barcelona in their pursuit and could even launch a bid in January.
