Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was targeted with foul-mouthed abuse from fans who told him to "f*** off" while driving his car in the street.

The incident followed Arsenal's 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace at the Emirates which left the Gunners four points behind the Champions League spots and 12 adrift of table-topping Liverpool.

Aubameyang stopped at a red light in his £240,000 Lamborghini Aventador where fans shouted at him before he drove off.

In a clip posted on Twitter, one person says: "£2000 a year to watch s***? F*** off!"

Another adds: "These people pay £1,800 for a season ticket… they are your support!"

Despite Arsenal's indifferent start to the campaign, Aubameyang has individually picked up where he left off last year having already found the net on eight occasions.

The incident signifies yet more unrest between fans and players after the Granit Xhaka controversy during the Palace draw.

Xhaka was substituted on the hour mark and reacted badly to jeers from the crowd as the Gunners skipper made his way to the touchline.

He cupped his ears to supporters before mouthing "f*** off" and removing his shirt.

The Swiss international midfielder then slammed his shirt to the ground and stormed straight down the tunnel before reportedly leaving the Emirates before full-time.

He was apparently consoled by three teammates at his home but is yet to apologise for the outburst, leaving his future at the club in doubt.
