Sickness bug could terrorise Terriers

Huddersfield are hoping a sickness bug that has swept through the camp eases ahead of the Yorkshire derby with Barnsley.

Goalkeeper Kamil Grabara and midfielder Alex Pritchard both missed the goalless midweek home draw with Middlesbrough, which extended the Terriers’ unbeaten run in the Sky Bet Championship to five games.

Karlan Grant and Adama Diakhaby have also been weakened by the same gastrointestinal bug, with the latter being withdrawn during the second half on Wednesday.

Terence Kongolo (calf), Collin Quaner (hip) and Herbert Bockhorn (hamstring) will be checked again after missing recent games.

Barnsley defender Aapo Halme will be assessed after missing the 2-2 midweek draw at West Brom.

Caretaker boss Adam Murray had hoped Halme was going to play at the Hawthorns after calf and ankle issues, but he was ruled out before kick-off and Mads Andersen deputised.

Sami Radlinger remains sidelined by a knee problem which has kept him out since the end of August, but the Austrian goalkeeper is set to return to training next week.

Barnsley are on a 13-game winless run stretching back to the opening day of the season, although they have drawn three of their last four matches.
