Wycombe miss chance to go top

Promotion-chasing Wycombe missed the chance to go top of the table after being held to a frustrating 1-1 draw away to Blackpool.
Scott Kashket gave Gareth Ainsworth’s side the perfect start with an eighth-minute opener.
The forward lobbed goalkeeper Jak Alnwick inside the area as the visitors looked to end an unwanted record of 12 games without a win at Bloomfield Road.
James Husband went close for the hosts and midfielder Sullay Kaikai also fired wide.
And defender Ben Heneghan, on loan from Sheffield United, equalised for Simon Grayson’s battling side six minutes after the break with his first league goal for nearly nine months.
The tall defender timed his run to perfection to head a Kaikai cross over keeper Ryan Allsop.
Heneghan had the ball in the back of the net for a second time five minutes later but his header was ruled out for a foul.
