Kai Havertz is keen to hear Joachim Low's thoughts on his future
KAI HAVERTZ will seek national boss Joachim Low's opinion before deciding on his future.
The German international, 20, starred in the friendly draw with Argentina after scoring 20 goals for Bayer Leverkusen last season.
And amid interest from Prem trio Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, the £90million-rated playmaker wants to discuss his options.
He told Sport1: “I listen to many people but in the end it will be my decision.
"I will embrace any advice Low will give me because he has a lot experience – it wouldn’t be smart to not listen to him."
Low is preparing Germany to take on Estonia in a Euro 2020 qualifier and is keen to ensure his young talents do not hinder their development with a big move.
He explained: "I’ll talk to him on occasion, but not now and not this year.
"He’s supposed to be playing in Leverkusen, where he plays regularly, that’s the biggest advantage for a young player like that.
“He made a clear decision for himself and with those around him to stay in Leverkusen.
"I don’t know what will happen next year, but he certainly has many opportunities.
“I already trust him to have a very good career, absolutely. But he has already started.”
Germany are in rebuilding mode after a shocking World Cup and replaced a host of ageing stars with the likes of Havertz as they look to the future.
