Sid Nelson joins Tranmere’s growing injury list

Tranmere’s injury woes show no sign of easing ahead of their League One clash against Shrewsbury with Sid Nelson the latest player to find himself in the treatment room.
Defender Nelson is doubtful for Saturday’s match with an ankle problem, while manager Micky Mellon knows he is definitely without nine others.
Calum Woods, Kane Wilson, Mark Ellis, Evan Gumbs, George Ray, David Perkins, Jacob Maddox, Ishmael Miller and Morgan Ferrier are all keeping the medical department busy.
There is some good news, however, as midfielder Darren Potter is available after suffering a knock last weekend.
Shrewsbury will be without defender Ethan Ebanks-Landell, who is facing a number of weeks out with a hamstring injury.
Ebanks-Landell limped off during last weekend’s 3-0 home defeat against Fleetwood and the news is not good.
Aaron Pierre is available again after a calf injury and could replace Ebanks-Landell in Sam Ricketts’ side.
Striker Fejiri Okenabirhie, last season’s top-scorer, could return from a hamstring injury after training this week.
