Cummings could be in line for Shrewsbury start after debut goal

Jason Cummings is pushing for a start for Shrewsbury as they host Southend in Sky Bet League One.
Cummings made his debut at the weekend, after joining from Nottingham Forest on deadline day, and scored just five minutes after coming off the bench, which could earn him a place in Sam Ricketts’ starting line-up.
Oliver Norburn played his first game of the season after injury in the 1-1 draw with AFC Wimbledon and two games in four days could be too much for the midfielder.
Ricketts will be hoping his side can record their first win since their 3-2 victory over Accrington on August 20.
Caretaker Southend manager Gary Waddock will hope his side can build on their first point of the season after a 3-3 draw with Fleetwood on Saturday.
The Shrimpers had lost all of their first six League One matches but Stephen Humphrys’ double secured the draw and the striker will expect to spearhead the attack at Montgomery Waters Meadow.
Midfielder Mark Milligan remains a doubt after he returned from international duty with Australia with a minor leg injury which caused him to miss the Fleetwood clash.
Waddock made six changes on Saturday from the side which lost 3-0 at home to Rochdale at the end of August and could stick with his side after they earned their first league point on Saturday.
