Doyle at the double as Swindon move into second

Eoin Doyle scored twice as Swindon climbed to second in the League Two standings with a 3-0 win over Macclesfield at the County Ground.
Keshi Anderson also found the net to help stretch Swindon’s winning run to three matches.
For much of the first half it looked like Macclesfield’s organisation would succeed in keeping Swindon out before the hosts claimed two quick-fire goals.
The deadlock was broken in the 37th minute when Anderson lashed home with the goal gaping.
Doyle made it 2-0 in first-half stoppage time by converting a cross from Rob Hunt from inside the box to relax the home crowd.
Bradford loanee Doyle made it 3-0 with 15 minutes left by sweeping home into the top corner from another low ball in by Hunt.
Prior to that, Anderson should have got a second goal of his own, but he somehow contrived to miss from a matter of yards.
Macclesfield barely threatened Luke McCormick, with their best chance being a Corey O’Keefe volley which went well wide.
