McKirdy the hero for Carlisle

Harry McKirdy’s double guided Carlisle to a courageous 3-2 comeback win away to Stevenage.
The former Aston Villa midfielder scored an 83rd-minute winner as the Cumbrians claimed their first away win over Borough for nearly three years.
Kurtis Guthrie impressed and put the hosts ahead in the 25th minute, but McKirdy equalised 13 minutes later.
Sheffield United loanee Nathan Thomas put Carlisle ahead for the first time soon after the break, but Guthrie equalised two minutes later.
There was still a sting in the tale of this entertaining clash when McKirdy claimed his third goal of the season to turn the match on its head.
Guthrie gave the hosts the perfect start when he rifled home into the bottom corner with a sweet right-footed strike.
McKirdy levelled with a clinical finish as the Cumbrians beat the offside trap, before Thomas bagged his second of the campaign.
Guthrie secured his brace with an excellent header, but it was McKirdy’s afternoon as he denied Borough their first win of the season with a late winner.
