Port Vale midfielder Manny Oyeleke is hoping to return to action after a month out in Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two clash with Plymouth.
The 26-year-old has been sidelined with a hamstring injury but has been training this week and will be assessed with a view to potentially featuring.
Forward Jordan Archer was due to have a scan on the shoulder injury suffered in last week’s defeat at Newport.
Winger Rhys Browne is still awaiting his debut after overcoming a hamstring injury.
Plymouth manager Ryan Lowe has a fully-fit squad for the trip to Vale Park.
Strikers Joel Grant and Dom Telford are both in contention after returning to training following hamstring injuries.
Grant has been out for eight games with Telford missing the last four and the pair’s availability will increase competition for places up front.
Defender Will Aimson is also available again after a pelvic problem.
