Preston boss Alex Neil still has injury problems to contend with

The international break has not eased Preston boss Alex Neil’s injury problems as he prepares his team to host Brentford.
Andrew Hughes (hamstring), Tom Barkhuizen (groin), and Sean Maguire (eye) were absent prior to the two-week break and they are not expected to be available on Saturday. Club captain Tom Clarke (knee) and Louis Moult (knee) are also out.
Darnell Fisher should be back in contention after missing the draw at Nottingham Forest with a hip problem.
Alan Browne has returned unscathed from international duty with the Republic of Ireland but David Nugent (calf) is still not ready to play.
Brentford boss Thomas Frank could name an unchanged team at Deepdale.
The Bees went into the break buoyed by a 3-0 home win over Derby in which Said Benrahma made his first start for the club.
Bryan Mbeumo scored his first goal for Frank’s side against the Rams but fellow summer signing Dominic Thompson has yet to make a first Championship appearance for Brentford.
The win against Derby was only a second in six league matches this season.
