Oldham are expected to be without Tomas Egert and Marvin Kokos for the home clash with Colchester.
Neither of the summer signings have been involved so far this season due to injuries.
Mohamed Maouche and Christopher Missilou returned to action in the win against Cambridge last weekend and should keep their starting spots.
Striker Urko Vera impressed boss Laurent Banide against the U’s and may well lead the line once again.
Young forward Freddie Hinds joined Colchester on loan from Bristol City this week and he will hope to be involved.
Cohen Bramall should be back in the squad after completing a three-match suspension.
Midfielder Luke Gambin made his first start for the club in Tuesday night’s 1-0 win against Premier League side Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup and could keep his place.
Winger Paris Cowan-Hall came on in the last minute of normal time for his maiden appearance for the club and may feature more prominently.
