Cowley could hand Andrade first league start against Fleetwood

Lincoln boss Danny Cowley will have choices to make ahead of his side’s Sky Bet League One clash against Joey Barton’s Fleetwood.

The Imps were far from disgraced when losing 4-2 to Premier League club Everton in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, with winger Harry Anderson scoring after just 20 seconds and Bruno Andrade firing in a superb second goal.

Andrade, who has yet to start a league match this season, was one of a raft of changes that could be reversed ahead of the Fleetwood fixture, with Cowley also having to choose between goalkeepers Grant Smith and Josh Vickers.

Lincoln could further alter their side as midfielder Ellis Chapman looks set to return having recovered from a bout of food poisoning.

Joey Barton has confirmed he has a full complement of players ahead of the visit to Sincil Bank, with the exception of injured striker Conor McAleny.

Barton is likely to include in-form Irishman Paddy Madden, who has scored four goals from five appearances this season so far.

Another inclusion could be Welsh striker Ched Evans, who scored a penalty against Accrington last weekend when making his first appearance since signing permanently from Sheffield United.

Ashley Hunter is expected to replace McAleny, who will be sidelined for four weeks.
