ENGLAND whizkid Sam Greenwood is a shock target for Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan.
The Arsenal striker, 17, was prolific at Under-18s level and the Serie A pair are now looking at a move for the teenager.
They sent scouts to track his progress at the Under-17 European Championships this summer when he scored three in three for the Three Lions.
Clubs in Germany have also been alerted to the striker who arrived from Sunderland a year ago.
Juve signed Stephy Mavididi from Arsenal last year and the forward has now played in Serie A.
Mavididi is highly rated at Juve and is signing for Dijon on loan after getting linked with several English sides.
And Old Lady supremos believe that Greenwood has similar potential to reach the top following the promise he has shown at youth level.
And AC Milan executive Ivan Gazidis knows all about Greenwood after working at Arsenal when they unearthed him from Sunderland.
Meanwhile, former Arsenal target Joachim Anderson has revealed he snubbed a move because he wanted to play Champions League football.
The highly-regarded centre-back, 23, joined Lyon from Sampdoria this summer before Arsenal turned to David Luiz.
He admitted: "There were good clubs, but Lyon was the best choice for me.
"I wanted to develop as a player, play the Champions League, be in a top team that fights for the title and Lyon was the best solution."
