Southend set to ring changes for MK Dons cup tie

Southend boss Kevin Bond is likely to make changes to his side for the Carabao Cup visit of MK Dons.
The Shrimpers have lost all five of their Sky Bet League One games so far this season but were victorious against Stevenage in their first round clash.
Bond made only three alterations for that tie but now needs to find a winning formula to translate to the league campaign.
Striker Simon Cox was an unused substitute in Saturday’s 4-3 defeat at Wycombe after a knee injury and could come back in, although Rob Kiernan (ankle), Jason Demetriou and Sam Barrett (both knee) miss out.
Paul Tisdale will also be looking for a response from a weekend League One loss after MK Dons went down 4-0 at Peterborough.
Brennan Dickenson came off the bench to play some part in the defeat and the fit-again winger could get more minutes at Roots Hall.
Ben Reeves is still absent with Jordan Moore-Taylor (knee) also unlikely to be fit in time to be considered.
Joe Mason (hamstring) definitely misses out as Tisdale must decide if he will make changes for the game.
