Jay Lynch pushing for Rochdale debut

Rochdale should have new goalkeeper Jay Lynch available for the Sky Bet League One match against Blackpool.

Former Bolton keeper Lynch, 26, signed on Monday from Fylde, but was not in the squad for the midweek home defeat by Sunderland.

Dale boss Brian Barry-Murphy handed 16-year old Luke Matheson a first league start, while midfielder Jimmy Ryan came off the bench on his return from a three-match ban.

On loan Huddersfield forward Rekeil Pyke (knee) remains a doubt, while Ryan McLaughlin and Aaron Wilbraham are both continuing their own rehabilitation.

Blackpool boss Simon Grayson is set to make late decisions on a couple of players following the midweek draw at Gillingham.

Forward Nathan Delfouneso was forced off during the first half with a hamstring problem, so will be rested if there are any doubts over his fitness.

Midfielder Matty Virtue (thigh) and defender Joe Nuttall (calf) both also continue to be assessed following their injury lay-offs.

Defender James Husband will be available for selection again after the wing-back served out a three-match suspension for his red card at Southend.
