Halifax’s fine start to the season continues

Halifax continue to shine early in the National League season, following up their opening-day win with a 2-0 success over Hartlepool.
Fax thrashed Ebbsfleet 4-1 on Saturday and made it two wins from two against fancied Pools.
Josh Staunton scored the opening goal eight minutes after half-time, tucking in after Jamie Allen’s effort was saved by Ben Killip.
Pools responded and Liam Noble’s deflected effort hit the crossbar but the game was put beyond them by Tobi Sho-Silva.
His first Halifax goal came as Killip saved Matty Brown’s header, only to see Sho-Silva on hand to score.
Pools now have plenty to think about, this loss coming on the back of a defeat to Sutton on Saturday.
