Harrogate and Solihull both missed penalties in a dramatic 2-2 draw in their Vanarama National League opener.
Solihull’s Paul McCallum was off target from the spot in the 18th minute before Nathan Blissett headed home in the 34th minute to give the visitors a half-time lead.
Mark Beck responded in kind 10 minutes after the interval and Joe Leesley, whose corner produced the equaliser, fired home from long range just two minutes later to give his side the lead.
McCallum soon headed Solihull level and Harrogate missed a penalty of their own with just over 20 minutes remaining, Brendan Kiernan firing over the bar. The midfielder was then brilliantly denied a late winner by Moors keeper Ryan Boot.
