Arbroath held by Queen of the South

Arbroath started life in the Ladbrokes Championship with a goalless draw at home to Queen of the South on Saturday.
The Red Lichties were promoted from League One as champions at the end of last season, while Queens retained their place in the second tier via the play-offs.
And there was nothing to separate the teams at Gayfield, where the hosts had a second-half goal ruled out for offside against Bobby Linn, who had crossed the ball for Greig Spence to finish.
Goalkeeper Darren Jamieson came to the rescue for Arbroath on numerous occasions, including a superb save from a low Dan Pybus shot late in the opening period.
Callum Semple went agonisingly close to snatching the three points for Queen of the South in the closing stages, but his headed effort was just wide of the right-hand post.
