Zlatan Ibrahimovic Shuts Down Reporter After He Suggests Carlos Vela Could Be Best In MLS

Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes he is "by far" the best player in the MLS.
The 37-year-old, who currently plays for LA Galaxy, was asked this week whether he considers himself the best player in Major League Soccer.
But before that question was asked, a brave ESPN reporter decided to read out some impressive stats about Los Angeles striker Carlos Vela.
"You said right now you are the best player in Major League Soccer." said the reporter.
"There's another player in Los Angeles, Carlos Vela. In this moment he's got 19 goals and 12 assists and his team is leading the MLS.
"Do you still consider yourself the best player in Major League Soccer?"
Ibrahimovic, clearly taken aback by the question, was very straight forward with his answer, saying:
"By far, because if he's in his prime. How old is he? Twenty-nine and he's playing in MLS and he's in his prime.
"When I was 29 [I was in Europe]. Big difference."

He's got a point. Eight years ago, Ibrahimovic was picking up the eighth league title of his career following a successful season in Italy with AC Milan.
The 29-year-old moved from Barcelona to the Serie A after a disappointing spell under Pep Guardiola.
But he once again showcased his class, scoring 14 goals in 29 games before bagging 28 goals in 32 games the following season.

But, of course, this isn't the first time Ibrahimovic has expressed his often controversial thoughts on the MLS.
Last year, he claimed he was bigger than Major League Soccer, saying: "I think I'm bigger than all of MLS."
He's definitely not short of confidence this guy, is he.
Is Zlatan Ibrahimovic the best player in Major League Soccer right now?
