According to The Sun, Ed Woodward is desperate to land the England international.

Salah to leave Liverpool?
Mohamed Salah has no plans to leave Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
According to the Sunday Mirror, Real Madrid and Juventus were lining up £150m offers for the Egypt international.
Salah was reportedly tempted by the chance to join either club but has decided to stick around at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp was made aware of the interest and held talks with club bosses to avert a sale.
Claude-Maurice to Arsenal?
Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Lorient prospect Alexis Claude-Maurice, according to Soccer Link.
The 21-year-old forward has reportedly agreed personal terms and is waiting for the two clubs to strike a deal.
Arsenal have seen two offers for Claude-Maurice knocked back but Soccer Link claim a fresh bid worth £18m plus add-ons is likely to be accepted.
The France Under-21 international is currently on holiday in Majorca but could reportedly travel to London in the coming days to complete the transfer.
Ndombele to Tottenham?
Starsport understands Juventus-bound Maurizio Sarri is set for a transfer war with Tottenham rival Mauricio Pochettino - over Lyon ace Tanguy Ndombele.
Sarri's return to Italy will be announced in the next 48 hours after the Serie A outfit agreed a £5m exit fee with Chelsea.
And the former-Napoli coach's arrival in Turin will intensify the battle against Spurs for £70m-rated France midfielder Ndombele.
The likes of Manchester United and Manchester City are now searching elsewhere for midfield reinforcements so it appears to be a straight scrap between Tottenham and Juventus.

Ndombele to Tottenham?
Tottenham target Tanguy Ndombele has suggested he is open to joining Spurs from Lyon.
"It is true that they are a great team," he said.
"A great club, they finished 4th in their league, were Champions' League finalists.
"They're a great club, like others. What player wouldn't be interested in joining them?"

Jorginho to leave Chelsea?
Chelsea have been urged to sell Jorginho as soon as Frank Lampard succeeds Maurizio Sarri.
Premier League legend Shaka Hislop told ESPN FC: "As far as Jorginho goes, if Sarri's announced on Monday, I'm Chelsea, I sell Jorginho on Tuesday.
"Give myself six weeks or whatever it is to find a replacement to spend that money.
"The appeal I think pushes any hearing beyond the close of the transfer window."

Kimpembe to Arsenal?
Arsenal have enquired about a swoop for Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe, according to Soccer Link.
The Gunners reportedly contacted the France international's father to discover whether a transfer would be possible.
But Kimpembe is eager to stay at PSG despite the potential arrival of Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax.
Chelsea and Manchester United are also interested.
Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd have passed on Youri Tielemans
Tielemans to Man Utd?
Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans.
The Belgium international caught the eye in the second half of last season while on loan at Leicester City.
He chipped in with three goals and five assists in 13 appearances to help the Foxes to a ninth-place finish in the Premier League.
Monaco are looking to cash in while his stock is high and have touted Tielemans to Manchester United, who are hunting for potential replacements for Paul Pogba.
But, according to the Telegraph, United have passed on the 22-year-old at £40m and are looking at other targets.
