Ben Stephens faces late fitness test as Macclesfield eye win to guarantee safety

Macclesfield boss Sol Campbell will assess midfielder Ben Stephens before his side’s home game against Cambridge.
Stephens returned to the starting line-up for last week’s win at Port Vale, but sustained a knock and was forced off before half-time.
Skipper Nathan Cameron played the full 90 minutes after he too returned to action and came through unscathed as Campbell’s side clinched three crucial points.
The Silkmen will guarantee their Football League survival with victory on the final day.
Cambridge midfielder Jake Doyle-Hayes, on loan from Aston Villa, is hoping to return to contention.
Doyle-Hayes missed last week’s home defeat to Morecambe with a minor injury, but is expected to recover in time.
Fellow midfielder Reggie Lambe is still unavailable as he is on international duty for Bermuda at the Gold Cup.
Defender Liam O’Neil (hip) and forward George Maris are still out, while Tom Knowles could make his first league start for the club.
