Morton climb above Dunfermline

Morton moved above opponents Dunfermline and into fifth place in the Scottish Championship with a 1-0 win at East End Park.
The first noteworthy chance of the game came after 16 minutes when Morton goalkeeper Robby McCrorie kept out a Jackson Longridge header from James Craigen’s cross.
McCrorie was almost embarrassed by a long-range chip from Bruce Anderson in the 28th minute and the Dunfermline striker sent another effort inches over the crossbar before the break.
Anderson thought he had broken the deadlock after 59 minutes but his effort was disallowed for a foul on the keeper.
Longridge was sent off for his second booking after 73 minutes and Morton were awarded a penalty 10 minutes later when Greg Kiltie was brought down.
He stepped up to score, sending the keeper the wrong way to secure the points.
