Maidenhead ended their National League campaign on a high with a 2-0 win over Chesterfield at York Road.
The best chance of the first half fell to the Magpies’ Mike Fondop, whose chipped effort hit the crossbar after being played through on goal by James Comley.
Chesterfield had appeared to be on top until the 70th minute when Adrian Clifton’s pass found Ayo Obileye, who fired into the top corner for the hosts from 18 yards out.
Clifton scored his 14th goal of the season with a low shot under Shwan Jalal after 77 minutes to make sure of Maidenhead’s victory.
Alan Devonshire’s men finish the season in 19th, while Chesterfield end up safely in 15th.
