Deverdics scores winner as Wrexham come from behind

Nicky Deverdics’ 80th-minute goal secured a 2-1 win for Wrexham against fellow play-off contenders Harrogate.
In what was an open start at the Racecourse, Harrogate struck first when Joe Leesley’s corner fell to former Dragon Mark Beck to score after 11 minutes.
Jason Oswell’s header levelled for Wrexham, before Christian Dibble saved Jack Muldoon’s penalty to deny Town retaking the lead on the brink of half-time.
Ten minutes from time, Deverdics smashed home from Mark Carrington’s low cross to seal the points for Bryan Hughes’ side.
The result means fourth-placed Wrexham will host Eastleigh in the play-offs, while sixth-placed Harrogate will take on AFC Fylde.
