Bury boss Lowe without Mayor for Colchester clash

Bury boss Ryan Lowe must think again for Saturday’s match against Colchester after attempts to freshen up his side fell flat in midweek.
Lowe brought in Eoghan O’Connell, Ryan Cooney and Dom Telford against Carlisle but the match ended in a third straight defeat which pushed Bury out of the automatic promotion places.
Lowe will hope the adjournment of a winding-up petition against the club will put some off-field worries to one side for his players.
Danny Mayor will miss the match as he completed his three-match ban.
Frank Nouble, Mikael Mandron and Brennan Dickenson are all pushing to start for Colchester after impressing as second-half substitutes in last week’s 2-0 loss to Oldham.
A third home defeat on the bounce means the U’s go into the weekend two points adrift of the play-off places and looking for a spark.
Tom Eastman was an unused substitute last week after returning from a calf injury, while Rene Gilmartin is close to a comeback following a knee problem.
Harry Pell is out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.
