Baxter back from ban as Oldham take on Swindon

Jose Baxter is available for in-form Oldham’s home clash with Swindon.

The former Everton forward has completed a three-game ban following his red card in the loss to Lincoln on March 12.

Boss Pete Wild named an unchanged side for the win at Colchester in midweek – Latics’ third in a row – so Baxter may have to settle for a place on the bench.

Dapo Afolayan came on as a second-half substitute against the U’s having recovered from a shoulder injury and should once again be in the squad. Zak Dearnley and Dan Gardner remain sidelined.

Swindon boss Richie Wellens has no fresh injury concerns for the trip.

Leading scorer Michael Doughty is being eased back gently after almost two months out with a hamstring injury, coming off the bench in the Robins’ last two matches, and he will hope to feature more prominently.

Luke McCormick is expected to keep his place in goal having replaced Lawrence Vigouroux recently. The Chilean has fallen out with Wellens.

Olly Lancashire was an unused substitute for the midweek clash with Newport after a lengthy absence and he is expected to be in contention once again.
