Man From Go Compare Advert Sings During Tottenham's Opening Ceremony
Posted Thursday, April 04, 2019 by sportbible.com
I didn't expect to see Wynne Evans, A.K.A the bloke from the Go Compare Adverts, on my television screen this evening but here we are, ladies and gentlemen.
Oh my god I thought the Spurs opera singer at the opening ceremony sounded like that annoying bloke off the Go Compare adverts -- just looked it up and it is actually him. Wynne Evans, Spurs fan.

To celebrate the grand opening of Tottenham's new 62,000-seater stadium, the club decided against a current hip-hop artist like Drake or Stormzy but opt for the guy who is famous for singing: "Go Compare, Go Compare, If In Doubt Check It Out, Go Compare!"
Spurs' official Twitter account posted a two hour video dedicated to the ceremony and well, it didn't disappoint.

When people caught wind of Evans' special guest appearance at Spurs new stadium, people were quick to comment.
I'm personally a big fan, to be honest.

Great looking stadium but what the fuck is that opening ceremony about?! Getting the geezer from the Go Compare adverts to sing on the pitch with a marching band is so American 🤮 #AMF

In all seriousness though, the brand new venue looked absolutely stunning and Populous architect Christopher Lee summed it up perfectly.
"I genuinely believe it's the best stadium in the world," he told CNN Sport.
"It creates great spaces and great experiences. It's designed like a concert hall and is all about noise and reverberation sound."
🎶 Oh when the Spurs go marching in! 🎶@SpursOfficial walk out at their new home for the first time!
